Been to Chicago recently? Seen “Batman – The Dark Knight”? Then you’ve almost certainly seen Trump Tower Chicago. Formally known as the Trump International Hotel and Tower, Trump Tower Chicago is a high-rise condominium hotel. Many parts of the building are open and final construction steps are due for completion in the summer of 2009.

This building already has an impressive profile, both archiecturally and culturally. At 92 stories, Trump Tower Chicago can be seen at least partially from most parts of the city. It will be the highest residential building in the world until 2011, upon completion of the Chicago Spire. Reality show junkies will remember that Bill Rancic chose to manage construction of Trump Tower Chicago after winning Season One of The Apprentice. Sitting at the former headquarters location of the Chicago Sun-Times, Trump Tower Chicago was also the scene for the final showdown between Batman and Joker in the Dark Knight.

Like the Trump Soho in New York City, Trump Tower Chicago has been designed to excel both inside and out. Living space interiors promise a luxurious stay – or lifestyle, if you’re buying. Room sizes in the 339 suite building range from 600 to 1,000 square feet, illuminated by gas fireplaces and floor to ceiling windows. Guest kitchens come standard with top grade appliances and Snaidero wooden cabinetry. To stay in touch, rooms also feature 42 inch HDTV and free wireless Internet.

When not ensconced in domesticated splendor, you can relax in one of Trump Tower Chicago’s 53 spa rooms, experience the “deluge shower”, then go almost comatose in what is known as a gemstone-oil-infused massage. If you would rather increase your waistline, then fill your boots at the Sixteen restaurant (on the 16th floor of course) and go  for drinks at the Rebar bar located at mezzanine level, which is noted for its sushi. Both Sixteen and Rebar have received glowing reviews.

Feel better? Top off the experience by shopping at the Trump Tower Chicago’s retail stores, browse the area’s numerous art galleries, or simply enjoy the view – you can see almost the whole city from various parts of the building, including water traffic to and from Lake Michigan.
